Because Waymark is a
charitable trust we are always in need of money and resources to enable
us to offer low cost, affordable counselling and therapy to the people
of East Kent. It costs around £40 to provide a counselling
session and many of our clients are unable to afford this.
Our day-to-day financing mainly comes from the
contributions
clients choose to make, according to their own assessment of their
means. We are keen to help those of limited resources, whilst letting
them retain their dignity.
It is important we keep our doors open to those
who cannot
afford to pay full professional fees.
As more clients use our services the number who
require
subsidy accordingly grow. As more need our help there is an increasing
gap in revenue and in the last year we needed to raise £12,000
extra to meet our costs.
In addition the Charity Commission rightly
expect us to build
up some reserves. We therefore invite donations to enable us to
continue our valuable work in meeting increasing needs evident in
today's society.
We
are a registered Charity and your donations can be gift-Aided, enabling
us to recover tax paid on the sum. Our treasurer will gladly explain
details.
